The Tennessee Titans could be without defensive tackle Sen'Derrick Marks, who missed the entire week of practice while nursing a sprained MCL in his right knee.
Marks missed the preseason finale against New Orleans, and if he cannot go on Sunday, it could mean that rookie third-round pick Mike Martin and undrafted rookie DaJohn Harris could see increased roles against the New England Patiots. Second-year pro Karl Klug, a pass rush type who had seven sacks a year ago, will have a big role, too.
"Obviously, having Klug, and especially in this game, when they’re going to be throwing the ball quite a bit, you have him. We’re happy with Mike Martin, how well he played. He came on strong here in the last preseason game. We’re confident with him and also with the young guy we kept. We think Harris can go in there and give us some reps too if that’s the case. I think we feel good with that," Titans coach Mike Munchak said via TitanInsider.com.
Rookies going against the Patriots is usually a tough role, and you can bet Bill Belichick and the Patiots will try to take advantage of a young Tennessee defense if they can.
